I have been writing and editing technical documents over much of my 40-year career with the U.S. government, two research institutes, and a state university. As an engineer and materials scientist, I specialize in helping my clients express complex engineering and scientific concepts in a well-organized and easily understandable manner. My technical writing and editing portfolio includes journal articles, research papers, grants, resumes, graduate school applications, and dissertations. Among my nearly 100 publications, lectures, and workshops are two books on environmental and urban health, feature articles on renewable energy and energy conservation, and a series of online educational materials covering climate change, biodiversity, and indoor health. I also wrote the American Public Health Association's national policy on air pollution and served on the Association's governing council. I belong to the National Association of Science Writers and Society of Environmental Journalists.
