Currently, I am in my final year as Ph.D. student in Philosophy at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. An American citizen, I have studied abroad the last 6 years with 2 different stints in Germany, Hamburg and Berlin respectively, where I attended language schools. My doctoral work concerns the late lectures of the German philosopher, F.W.J. von Schelling, whose late work has yet to be translated in English. Accordingly, all my reading and translations are from German to English. In my evenings I follow language courses at the language school (CLT - Centrum voor Levende Talen (Center for Living Languages)) of the University in Leuven. I have followed both French and Dutch, but have completed all 7 years offered for German. The final year corresponds to C2 of European standards, the highest level a non-native speaker of German may attain. In order to earn extra money I have also done some private editing of students' papers, journal submissions, conference lectures, dissertations etc. As a B.A. student I worked for the University's Talent Development Center as a tutor for both Introduction to Philosophy and Western Civilization. I can promise that my work is meticulous and I always treat the work of others as if it were my own.
