For about 38 years so far, I've been equally immersed in two very different cultures--the East and the West. I was born in Taiwan; came to the US in junior high school years and earned my college degree in Economics and Communications. I took up classes such as public speechmaking and conflict resolution to sharpen my communication skills. I was elected president of ASIA Club while in college. I then went to Asia and taught language lessons such as translation and grammar; and have done some on-line translation and real-time interpretation. While my English is decent, I am confident enough to say that my Chinese is slightly better than average Chinese speakers. Above all, I believe that, aside from translation technicalities, I am good at picking up the nuance and sentiment of different cultures.
