I have been working in the field of translation since 1999. After my graduation from the Faculty of Education – English Language Department, I worked on a voluntarily basis and translated a huge number of research reports and abstracts to help post-graduate students on their literature review. Then, I worked for a group of sister companies specialized in manufacturing and converting almost all types of packaging materials. My job responsibilities included translation from English to Arabic, handling ongoing foreign correspondences and supervising foreign purchases. At the same time, I joined a two-year special diploma on Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). Then, I obtained my Master degree on the same specialization. During my work in the packaging group (from October 2000 to April 2006), I worked on translating a variety of document types administrative, financial, industrial, import/export, human resource, etc. I translated a large number of documents from worldwide companies during my work at the packaging group. The most important projects that I worked on were: The ISO 9000 Policies & Procedures System (a manual published by American Business Resources Inc.), A large number of feasibility studies required for funding purposes in co-operation with US and Australian companies, a variety of business reports, technical and safety data sheets for imported raw materials, import and export related documents and others. All the documents were translated in MS word format. I also translated a small law related project for a Conduit Language Co. client and another school related project of more than 13000 words for an Affordable Language Services client.
