Besides being a student of Cultural Studies and German Literature, I work as a freelance journalist for the regional daily 'Reutlinger General-Anzeiger', as well as for the quarterly 'Kulturaustausch'. At the latter, I also work as a freelance translator for all kinds of articles (mainly on sociocultural or -political topics), translating from Portuguese, Spanish and English into German. I have learned Portuguese for 5 years and spent 1 year in Rio de Janeiro, studying at the Universidade Federal Fluminense and also covering the short film festival Curta Cinema 2007 for Franco Produções. I therefore speak and write fluently in (Brazilian) Portuguese. Having lived on the Philippines for 3 years during childhood, after 9 years of courses at school and 1 year in New Zealand, I am also fluent in English. I learned Spanish at school, participated in various language courses in Spain and worked in Barcelona for 2 months, so I speak Spanish on a very high level, too. Due to my journalistic experience, I write very well in German, and I am used to work within tight deadlines.
