I am originally from Australia but I have lived in the U.S.A., United Kingdom and I have been residing in Brazil for the past 4 years where I have been teaching English and doing Portuguese and English translations amongst other things. My experience as an English teacher, dealing with the difficulties of achieving the correct translation and interpretation of words, phrases, texts and ideas for students on a daily basis, has given me an invaluable insight into the best ways to achieve accurate, professional translations and this is reflected in the work I do. I have also worked in Brazil as a freelance tour guide. I have the licence from the Brazilian Tourism Ministry to work professionally as a tour guide. In my time in Brazil I have also done the Airplane Private Pilot course (course was done in Portuguese). I received the Airplane Private Pilot licence from the Brazilian Civil Aviation Department, Licence No.: 59747. This has been very beneficial as many of the students I currently teach are pilots. This is most likely because I can identify more readily with their profession as I have knowledge in this area. My varied life experiences put me in a unique position to be able to offer translation services in many different fields where I have specific knowledge.
