I was born and raised in the US where I studied Spanish throughout high school and university to supplement my math and science education. I have spent the last 3 years in Honduras, Central America, where I have been directing the administration of a local orphanage. My responsibilities during this time have included managing Spanish-speaking staff, serving as primary contact for international support organizations, translating newsletters from Spanish to English, translating sensitive correspondence back and forth between English and Spanish, and serving as interpreter for visiting mission groups. I have also done some work as a free-lance translator for individuals and private companies, translating simple documents, such as letters, as well as technical documents, such as vocabulary-specific computer technology advertisements.
