As an English teacher, my training goes beyond writing well. My skill is in helping other people to write better. As well as working with students, I have copyedited and proofread for academic journals and websites. I am currently editing a doctoral thesis for a law student at the University of Cambridge (England). I speak Spanish, and I know how difficult it can be for writers to communicate fluently in their second language. I'm experienced in finding and correcting the errors that can slip into English from other languages. I am familiar with the spelling and grammar conventions of both UK English and American English, and the different standards required by academic and business writing. As much as I love language, there is one thing I love more - learning. Editing other people's work exposes me to ideas that I would never enounter otherwise, and that's why I enjoy it so much.
