It was my first time working with this editor and I am very disappointed with his editing work. All I wanted was to correct grammatical errors and he even did not do that work. I don't understand. I found several grammatical errors of on the document he edited. I have used servicescape.com several times before and the works done by other editors have been pretty satisfying so far. But I don't recommend this editor.

I have used your service for some times. Most of them were very good, but not this time. What I feel (Even though I didn't see how he's working on it, but I could feel it) that he work on it quickly but not seriously. For an example: for the sentence, "First, dilated segmented centrosomes on boundaries to form masks, which include centrosomes and [JBC1] bigger than centrosomes." He gave a comment like following: [JBC1]Missing a word – what is bigger than centrosomes? From the context, one should be able to understand the mask is bigger than centrosome. There are also some things happened more than once, he corrected one but missed another one, made me feel inconsistent.

If you think a good editor asks you some good questions to rearrange your thoughts, things that you often overlooked while 'zooming in' too much on your material, WordsMatter will help you to zoom out and start to revise the draft. Many of his comments and questions are smart, observant, and elaborated. Recommended.

The editing was excellent, but more than just grammar or spelling, the editor took the time to challenge sentences. In one, asking if they made sense and were arranged in an order that makes sense to the readers but in another, challenging whether certain conclusions can be justified based on the information given. And finally, asking whether the conclusions were even accurate based on what was written. All of this I found extremely useful in correcting my work. I had been focused on the content. He was focused on the reader. Two very different things.
