I have over 25 years experience in professional and technical writing. I have a Ph.D. in Rhetoric (English) and a Master's in Professional Writing. I hold a B.S. in Geology, have taken extensive math and physics courses, have worked in technical fields, and so hold a good grasp of scientific and engineering concepts. My experience includes: teaching professional and technical writing courses at the graduate and undergraduate level; editing engineering, chemistry, and physics students' theses; planning, designing, and testing functional documents (e.g., computer manuals); working within diverse genres such as marketing, public relations, technical and computer documentation, web design, and document design. In my present career, I regularly write press releases, grant proposals, reports, and more. I have worked as a system administrator and so am versed in computer technology. I have a good grasp of statistics and research design methodology, and, having worked in the medical field, hold an understanding of health care related topics. Thanks for reading!
