Qualifications: I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Lewis and Clark College, a renowned small liberal arts college located in the heart of Portland, OR. I was nominated a member of Phi Beta Kappa in my senior year and graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.65. Writing and Me: I chose English as my area of study because of the writing element. I love literature, and I love analysis; but writing is my passion. Putting words together on paper to communicate images and ideas and information is something that has always made sense to me and that gives me great pleasure. I actually enjoyed diagramming sentences in the 5th grade! I have a hawk-like eye for detail and an intuitive sense of style and flow. Previous Editing Experience: I have been a free-lance editor for two years. My biggest project and largest accomplishment so far: editing a 133-page thesis project for a Master’s in Environmental Management with an economic focus-—in one week. The student passed with flying colors; I like to think that I played a small part. In addition, I have worked on various other academic documents, as well as on surveys, briefs, letters, emails, call logs, pamphlets and presentations for various corporate companies.
