I have ten years of professional experience in a broad range of corporate, mass communications roles. I’ve written and edited articles for print and online newsletters, flyers, fact sheets, presentations and speeches. I’ve also written and edited key messages, proposals, advertising copy, brochures, letters and content for Web sites. Topics and content areas I have covered include recruitment, business ethics, diversity and work/life balance, as well as health and wellness. Some of my business writing and editing experience has included executive-level and highly-sensitive material. In addition to correcting spelling, grammar and punctuation, my editing style includes providing a thorough assessment of the material’s overall content, clarity and structure. For book manuscripts, other long documents or speeches, I pay very close attention to logic, continuity and word choice, and make thoughtful suggestions for improvement. I also offer feedback on dialogue, tone and flow, where applicable. I recently completed comprehensive editing and the critique of 250 pages of a nonfiction book manuscript. I also have experience editing college and business school application essays, resumes, cover letters, and the principal’s letter for a school yearbook. In my spare time, I’m an avid reader and a music lover, and I enjoy writing poetry and song lyrics.
