He did a quite decent job, but there are many reasons I do not appreciate his service. Upon the completion of his first edit (1/3), I sent my revision with responses on the same day (1/3). However, he has not contacted me until 1/6 when he noted, "I had a client move a deadline and I've been swamped all week. I'll take a look at your paper on Monday morning." The project is time sensitive. Although heard him three days later, I was frustrated with his response. At worse, he reached out to me on 1/9, noting that he did not do any work but claiming that he cannot review an incomplete revision. Related to the first point, he just wanted a clean copy from me, neither my questions nor comments responding to his work. I have worked with many editors, but the experience with him was nothing but unpleasant, rude, and irresponsible. I clearly shared instructions (what I wanted). I tried to communicate with him, but his one-way communication/work style is not for me.
