I am currently the Director of Development for the Dallas affiliate of Mental Health America. In my current capacity, I write proposals, develop public relations/marketing materials and develop content for websites and video productions. I have a B.A. and M.L.A. in English from Southern Methodist University. I am also a published author, with a long portfolio of short stories, vignettes and poetry. I have been a writer, in one capacity or another, since 1993 when I began my career as public relations professional for the City of Dallas. Since that time, I have worked both as an employee and a consultant to several non-profit agencies, several federal, state and city entities and to over 20 corporations. Additionally, I have edited stage plays and have just completed my first novel.
