I worked at the market leader in video and computer game strategy guides, Prima Games (a division of Prima Publishing) for 3 years. I made my way through the Editorial department from an Editorial Assistant to a Senior Editor position that I created. My last position with the company was as a Product Manager. I am currently editing and writing on a freelance basis as the sole proprietor of Rdp, Ink Editorial Services. My recent clients have included Games.com (writing strategy for on-line gaming) and Primgames.com (Fast-Track Guide Editor, abridging full-length strategy guides for on-line publication). I have been writing and editing (in some form or another) since the sixth grade. I designed my own major in college around editing and publishing mass media and received a certificate in literary editing and publishing, as well. During my work at Prima, I dealt with multiple projects at different stages of production and also co-authored a few strategy guides (which instruct users in a straight-forward, "technical" manner how to complete a video game). I worked on over 60 titles in three years under very tight production schedules. I have experience with all levels of editing, from the briefest once-over proofing to detailed substantive editing and rewriting.
