For a decade I have written and edited in both daily newspaper and monthly magazine environments. In that time, I have copy-edited thousands of news and feature stories and reviewed many times that number of press releases. My editorial specialties are in news and feature stories, persuasive writing and press releases. I've won the Society of Professional Journalists' Mark of Excellence award for my work as an editor and editorialist. I have been the founding editor of two magazines, with primary responsibility for copy-editing style at each. Most recently, I was Associate Editor of the legal business monthly Corporate Legal Times. Prior to that I was the Editor of legal monthly Illinois Legal Times, and before that I served as Editor-in-Chief of The Minnesota Daily newspaper. At Corporate Legal Times, I was principally responsible for establishing style and editing stories for a new international section. I am now a freelance writer and editor in the Washington, DC area and a student at The George Washington University.
