I am an academic writer, by training, with degrees in English and French literature from UCLA and Oxford University, including two graduate degrees. My graduate work in literary criticism and translation, begun 10 years ago, trained me in both proofreading and copyediting of scholarly works in the humanities, as well as in the ability to master formats for scholarly citations (according to MHRA and The Chicago Manual of Style guildelines) and provide accurate bibliographical material. I have published some of my own academic and creative articles in the US and UK, and am able to edit and proofread works written in both French and English. My specialty, however, is copyediting scholarly works for literary and other humanities subjects, though I am willing to receive articles, novels, journals, anthologies, poetry and legal or business materials, as I worked as a legal proofreader and stock-brokers' assistant for 5 years. I always provide a copyediting key, and instructions or suggestions for bibliographical style. I work well with deadlines and use the MS Word tracking/editing system for all documents.
