I am Greg Freed. Both my career experience and my education have been concerned with the critiquing and evaluating of classical and modern texts. I have extended experience as a freelance proofreader and editor for various book publishing houses. My Bachelor of Arts was awarded to me from Baylor University in Great Texts of the Western Tradition. My passion lies in polishing the written word in order to gaurantee that what the author wanted to say is said. I break down the editorial process into three distinct steps. First, a work must be proofread. This involved checking the grammar, syntax, and stucture. After a work is generally coherent, it must be copyedited. This involves a thorough reading of the text and is able to correct most logic mistakes in order to ensure that the work delivers clarity, consistency. Finally, I enjoy discussing the thesis and underlying conditions of the work with the author. This allows the author to see how a reader will comprehend his work, and to tinker with it accordingly.
