In the last 30 years I've been a professional proofreader, a copywriter, an editor and a writer of both non-fiction and fiction. I've also had an extensive academic career, lecturing undergraduates in a number of arts disciplines. Lately I've worked as a management trainer and have delivered courses in leadership and teamworking for world-famous organisations. All of this experience means that I bring a focused, meticulous eye to all forms of written communication. I can help you express yourself more clearly, tighten up your prose, find exactly the right word and, of course, rid your typescript of any bloopers, misspellings, bad grammar or repetitions. This is an outline of some of the writing-related jobs I've been responsible for: - Chief proofreader for Rolls-Royce Technical Publications. - Advertising copywriter for six years. - I designed, wrote and proofread online management courses for the UK government-funded LearnDirect elearning provider. - I designed and wrote online courses for major international clients, including Shell and Fujitsu. - I worked as an editor for an online editing agency, editing over a dozen novels in a range of genres. - I have published two crime novels. - I have a First Class Honours Degree in Creative Arts (English with Creative Writing and Drama), a Masters in Twentieth Century English Literature and a Masters in Organisational Psychology. - I lectured in English and American Literature for 6 years
