Biographical Sketch – Lorrie C. Reed, Ph D Academically and professionally, I am well qualified as an editor. I have served for 10 years as a university professor in a number of graduate degree programs and have taught courses in educational administration, research methods, policy analysis, and statistics. Prior to becoming a professor, I spent more than 15 years as an administrator in various academic settings. In addition, I have served as subject matter expert and instructional designer for online university course development projects. I began my professional career as a high school English teacher. Currently, I am executive director of a firm that specializes in research consulting and academic editorial services. A skilled writer and editor, I have mentored dozens of students through the dissertation-writing process and a variety of other projects. In addition, I have published articles in refereed journals and have made presentations at professional meetings at the local, state, national, and international levels. My areas of technical expertise include copyediting, proofreading, technical writing, statistical analysis, systems analysis, and psychometric measurement. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in English and Secondary Education from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and a Ph.D. in Research Methodology from Loyola University-Chicago. Currently, I am enrolled at McCormick Theological Seminary where I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Theological Studies. As you can see, my experience is extensive and unique.
