Having both a graduate degree in English (M.A. Northwestern, 2004) and an undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science (B.A. Virginia, 2001) I am qualified and more than comfortable editing and revising academic texts in a broad range of fields, from the Humanities to Psychology and the Social Sciences. In addition, I have helped develop and edit numerous texts outside the academic sphere, including documentary screenplays, poetry collections, museum catalogues and foreign language dictionaries. For the past two years, while working as a freelance editor, I served as a Foreign Lecturer at the University of Sarajevo, instructing students of the English Department in essay composition, and as a Housing Advocate for Action For Boston Community Development, where I drafted and filed motions before the Boston Housing Court. My primary strengths as an editor are meticulousness, efficiency, and a wide knowledge base. I am extremely flexible and open to working with any text.
