As a businesswoman for the last 35 years, I have gained experience in fields ranging from scientific research and documentation for the Food & Drug Administration, public seminars in both the scientific and financial/investment fields, to sales and promotional materials. Not noted in my CV is that I am a graduate of Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut. This provided me with the finest private school education the United States has to offer. In addition, I have been doing ESL editing for friends and colleagues in Germany and Switzerland over the last 8 years. In addition, I studied in Switzerland back in 1994. German is my 2nd language, and both because of my constant interaction with native German speakers who wish to improve their English and my work with hundreds of ESL physicians, I have developed a sharp talent for understanding the writer's/speaker's intention, and then rephrasing and utilizing appropriate English structure and vocabulary to ensure that the intent is clear. I have also had experience in taking complex medical, scientific, financial, and legal topics and re-wording them so that they can be better understood by members of the general public. For the last 4 years, I have used my PhD in Physiological Sciences and Toxicology in editing and transcribing for acute-care hospitals. Recently I have realized that this is not the field for me over the long term as I do not feel I am making use of my talents or enjoying my work! Let me enjoy my work and edit for YOU!
