My editing philosophy is simple: Make the writer look good. I edit from the reader's viewpoint, helping the reader clearly understand what the writer wants to convey. Equally important, however, is preserving the writer's voice. To me, editing is like a buffing cloth that polishes the writer's work until it shines. I am adept at editing book manuscripts (fiction and nonfiction), academic and professional articles, essays, newsletters, brochures, Web content, advertising and marketing copy, and student study guides and online courses. I specialize in such nonfiction book topics as alternative and New Age health therapies, general health and nutrition, education, parenting, self-help, and personal memoirs. I also have vast experience editing fiction manuscripts, including children's and juvenile, historical, contemporary, romance, mystery, horror, and science fiction. It's a sad fact that all too often, potentially great writing remains mediocre (or worse) because of problems with grammar or punctuation, factual or logical inconsistencies, or verbose or inelegant wording. asked for editing not comments all over. It's so fraustating. 4 years with edit avenue and lots and lots of projects, this is a second disatisfaction. Free sample was super but the coplete projest is a complete disaster filled with typo errors and repeated words and present tense still mixed with past and whole lot of anoying questions by editor. I am so disapointed and have to no chpice but to pass job to another editor
