I am a thorough, versatile editor who handles a wide variety of subjects in the humanities and social sciences, and also many types of genre fiction. I hold a PhD in historical musicology from the University of Pennsylvania and the professional certificate in editing from UC Berkeley Extension. Previous editing projects have included scholarly articles, family histories, thrillers, epic fantasy novels, and feature film scripts. My goal as an editor is not only to ensure that the text is mechanically correct and flows well, but also to pay close attention to preserving voice and cadence in the writing because the author's own style and personality matter.
