He did his best. However, I don't think he is skilled enough to deal with academic works on Postgraduate/PhD levels ( i.e. essays, dissertation, theses and articles). And the required passion as a Journalist is missing too, unfortunately. Finally, he has submitted his proofreading without dealing with the tables and footnotes….!! And these parts are not less than 30 percent of my article!!

Although I had sent one of the most complicated paragraphs in my paper, the editing was so simple. I didn't notice any rephrasing, no additional words, or even one major correction. Actually I was excited and waiting for two days to see the text and send the new one, but either my English is great or the editor didn't deal the sample seriously.

Found many grammatical errors, APA was no done properly, and the paper was not made concise as I had asked for it to be edited down by a page. Very minor edits were done but nothing that was asked.

I submitted the edited manuscript to a journal but the editor sent me back. Here is the editor comments : "have the paper copy edited, there are numerous grammatical errors throughout".

This was my first time using copy editing services. I feel like I am a fairly good writer and wondered if it would be money well spent. It absolutely was a great gift I gave to myself. He found tense errors, grammatical errors and clumsy wording. I will definitely use these services again. Also, knowing that someone is going to go back behind me and edit allowed some mental freedom to just write rather than having to worry too much with the first draft.
