I have written three scientific publications (1 accepted, 2 submitted), as well as a published dissertation. Additionally, I have made contributions to five other scientific publications. In the past two years, I have written two grant proposals that were accepted and funded. Throughout my life I have always been a strong writer and editor, which lead me to pursue tutoring high school students in the SAT and ACT during my graduate studies. During this time I read and edited student essays and taught grammar and composition curriculum. I love reading academic papers as well as writing them and I am passionate about bettering scientific communication. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher and have read and edited many of my colleague's scientific papers, book chapters, and grant applications for grammar and readability. Many of my colleagues know me as more than just a native speaker; I have a gift for expressing difficult concepts clearly.
