As an undergraduate, I tutored students and professors in scholarly writing, led writing workshops, and guest lectured in first year English courses. Now, as I study at Mills in pursuit of an MFA degree in Creative Writing, I work at the Writing Center, tutoring students of all subjects so that their papers will not only be grammatically correct, but so they also learn to be better writers. Last semester, I taught history and English to grades 8-12 at the Hume Lake Charter School. I believe, with the right help, anyone can become a good writer.
