My name is Heather, and I have had a lifelong love affair with the written word. Before I knew how to write, I drew squiggle lines on construction paper, stapled them together, and presented them to my parents with the exclamation, "I wrote a book!" After graduating with a bachelor's degree in English from Eastern Illinois University, I worked as a copy editor and page designer for a daily newspaper and monthly business newsmagazine for four years. I graduated from National University with an MFA in creative writing and secured a job with a publishing company that works with books and journals in dentistry. I absolutely love to read, everything from romance and fantasy fiction to history, religion, and other nonfiction.
