I am a PhD researcher with the University of Queensland from Brisbane, Australia, and I am currently completing the final draft of my dissertation, and expect to submit in February, 2017. I am a native English speaker, born and raised in Australia. I have a Bachelors degree with first class honours in psychology from Griffith University, Australia. Over the last three and a half years, I have conducted research investigating the effects of a non-invasive brain stimulation technique known as transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS) on cognition in both healthy young and older adults. I have been specifically interested in understanding the neurobiological underpinnings of learning and memory, and in novel methods for facilitating learning in the aging brain. I have published original research and review articles in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals. I also have experience with writing grant proposals for academic research.
