Engelbrecht Editing specializes in helping people communicate effectively and intelligently. Our goal is to create a polished finished product, free of spelling and grammatical errors, that reflects your own distinctive and creative writing style. Lead Editor Nikki Engelbrecht has been editing and proofreading for more than six years. She edited novels, including "Runaway: A Survivor" by E. Layne Kelly and "Wounded" by Percival Everett. She has also edited short story collections, literary reviews, legal books and documents, student papers and dissertations, and business materials. She was also an English and Literature teacher who taught research methods, essay writing, and creative writing.Nikki also served on the editorial board of "Water-stone Review", a national literary magazine. Nikki has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a master’s degree in Creative and Critical Writing. She won the Outstanding Synthesis award while in graduate school for her collection of short stories titled Disconnected Stories. She is currently working on two novels, one character driven and the other science fiction.
