I have more than 10 years of experience as a writer, copy editor and proofreader and have been working on a freelance basis for about three years. As a freelance writer and editor, I have worked with individuals and businesses on a variety of projects. Past and current clients include McGraw-Hill (book publisher), ActiFi (a financial advisory consultancy firm), Victor Antonio (speaker and author of numerous sales books, including Response Block Selling), Napa Wealth Management (finacial advisors), and Sam Richter (speaker and author of Take the Cold Out of Cold Calling). I also run an editing and writing Web site: Edit Rescue. Before embarking on my journey as a full-time writer and editor, I taught a writing course and an editing course to journalism and public relations students at Ohio State University for six years. I am an expert in grammar, punctuation, spelling and word choice. As a writer myself, I understand the need to maintain the writer's voice and style while improving the content, flow, and style of a piece of writing. As journalist by training, I am accustomed to meeting tight deadlines while maintaining quality. I also understand the importance of ensuring details are accurate and writing is crisp, clear and tight. I have a master's degree in communication and journalism from Ohio State and also completed two years of full-time coursework for my doctorate in the same program. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and public relations from Capital University.
