Does your writing need clarity and focus, or perhaps just a bit of polish? I enjoy assisting people in communicating more effectively, and have been doing so for almost thirty years. During that time, I have performed legal writing and editing for litigation attorneys and other clients as an independent contractor. I work with them to produce pleadings, motions, appellate briefs, memoranda, correspondence, and other documents that are clear, concise, well organized, logical, and persuasive. My work has been submitted to several state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. As a result of my extensive experience in drafting documents for litigation, I am very accustomed to meeting short deadlines, and take professional pride in delivering high quality work on time and ready for use. Although my background is primarily in the legal field, I believe that my academic background (including the preparation of a successful master's thesis in the social sciences), skills, and work ethic will allow me to assist you in preparing a variety of documents. In working with many clients over the years, I’ve learned how crucial collaboration and feedback are to producing writing that is first-rate in both content and form.
