I am very passionate about editing. I obsess about comma splices, fragments and verb tense agreement so the authors I work with don’t have to. I’ve edited directories, every imaginable type of financial document, marketing materials, screenplays, résumés, website copy, press releases, presentations, handbooks, user guides, scripts, and speeches- just to name a few. When I approach new or unfamiliar subject matter, I know exactly what to verify and what to query. When I have experience in a particular area, I know exactly what kind of errors to look for. As a copy editor it is my responsibility to learn what I don’t know, verify what I do know, and act as a second set of eyes for the author.
