I have always loved the English language, and started college knowing that I wanted to pursue a degree in English Literature. While pursuing my degree, I worked in both the Admissions and Alumni offices at the University of Vermont, utilizing my linguistic skills for business. I later transferred to the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom, and graduated with a degree in English Literature with Honors. I finished in the top 10% of my class. After graduation, I worked for Duke Univerity in Durham, NC as a staff assistant for the Dance Program, where one of my prinicipal duties was writing and editing all promotional materials, including press releases, short articles and web content.
