I am a freelance editor and writer, primarily in the social and medical sciences, with a strong background in anthropology, archaeology, and anatomy. I have a Ph.D. in Anthropology, was formerly Associate Editor of Northeast Anthropology, a regional, biannual anthropological journal, and am now Copy Editor for that journal. I am currently on the Board of Directors for the World Health Medical School and am a flashcard writer for that program, specifically in the area of Community Health/Epidemiology. Currently, I also edit and author public education materials in the areas of cultural resource management and archaeology. I have a strong academic background in the social sciences through my undergraduate studies at Skidmore College, and I specialized in Anthropology/Biological Anthropology as a graduate student at the University at Albany. As a graduate student, I was employed as an instructor in the Anthropology and Human Biology departments and also taught in those departments for one year following receipt of my doctorate in 1995. For three years, I served as Associate Editor of Northeast Anthropology. This position involved manuscript review and proofreading, and full responsibility for producing each volume of the journal using desktop publishing. After teaching at Albany, I was employed in cultural resource management for eight years. As part of my role as Project Manager, I authored numerous technical and scholarly reports, and edited and critiqued reports, proposals, and research papers. I have also reviewed manuscripts for the American Journal of Physical Anthropology.
