I am a practicing historian, writer, and college professor. I received my doctorate from Rutgers University, where I conducted archival research in France, the Caribbean, the Netherlands, and the United States. A native English speaker, I am also fluent in French and conversant in Portuguese. I am the author of an academic monograph and several academic articles and also recently completed a translation and editing project (French to English). As a professor, I have assisted hundreds of students with their research and writing, and have helped supervise M.A. and Ph.D. theses. In addition to writing and teaching, I have experience in textbook development, on academic editorial boards, and in developing online courses and materials.
